Old Point Design is rooted in tradition and family-owned for three generations.

Elizabeth's Grandfather founded Old Point Custom Homes, named after the 18th-century neighborhood called The Old Point of Beaufort, where he was born and raised. Continuing the namesake in his honor, Old Point Design was born, carrying on the legacy of creating a meaningful space for people to call home. Old Point Design has a historical foundation, depicting the story in their designs and the client relationships they cultivate.

meet Elizabeth Hester

Owner & Principal Designer

Elizabeth's calling is to create a space that ebbs and flows with the rhythms of life. From a young age, she would walk with her grandfather through a home in amazement at a vision coming to life, experiencing the craftsmanship and detail from beginning to end. Thus began her love for design. She treasures returning to how things were done with attention and thoughtfulness and tying that into the new. She is proud to carry on the family business with her own flavor and unique affinity for drawing out the charm of old homes. With a rich history of love for design, Elizabeth finds immense value in restoring the bones of a well-loved historic home to its rightful beauty. Elizabeth aims to apply timeless design solutions that make a space shine.

After graduating from SCAD with a degree in Interior Design and a specialty in Decorative Arts. She dove headfirst into the family business. Elizabeth started the firm in 2005 and has completed projects across the southeast, both residential and commercial. Her relational design approach and passion for drawing out every detail are unmatched.

Elizabeth lives in Marietta, GA, with her husband, three children, and precious four-legged pups. Her love for the Lowcountry is vast and deep, and in her free time, you can find her with her sweet family on the marsh hunting for crabs at their vacation home in Beaufort, South Carolina.
